failed attempt?
rushed back from work today to bring my housemate to Carrefour to shop for the cake ingredients... found out they actually sell blueberry/strawberry/raspberry in tin form! kekeke... so sua-ku. then rushed home again to make it...
first of all, i crushed too much digestive biscuits... then i didn't think to measure it (recipe said 1 cup), so i just poured in the melted butter into that big bowl of crushed biscuits! alamak! naturally, the butter wasn't enuf to make it sticky. so had to divide the thing in half and then add more butter into 1 half of it. n throw away the other half! so sayang...
then i think i used too much whipping cream... again recipe said 1 cup. but i just poured the whole carton in (small carton only lar, 200g). hmm... that's y my cake turned out kinda watery compared to my first cake. it's in the fridge now, afraid to go see it... but i remembered last time, i used the whole carton of whipping cream too... hmm... maybe last time i used manual stirring, n this time i used the mixer i got from my company annual dinner.
oh yeah, speaking of mixer, it's kinda leceh a little, coz it can't reach the 'far corners' of the mixing bowl. so had to keep stopping the machine to scoop out those thick paste stuck there and then start the machine again. n i STILL get unevenly mixed paste in the end... *sigh...
anyway, i used blueberry... n for deco, i poured in some of the blue-coloured syrup into the cheese filling n then kinda stirred it a tiny bit to create a marbled look... hehehe... looks kinda nice, but hopefully it'll harden by tomorrow morning!
